It is with a great sense of urgency that we are reaching out to you today, as respected and valued members of the nursing profession.
Ascension Saint Thomas is actively recruiting recently retired Registered Nurses back into temporary service for clinical support for both onsite or virtual/remote work. As cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19) climb higher by the hour, there is a growing need for nurses with critical care experience and other higher patient acuity skill sets.
As we maintain Ascension’s commitment to our nation’s health and wellbeing, we are asking for your assistance in responding to the needs of individuals and communities we are honored to serve during this global pandemic. .Here is how you can help:

Vanderbilt University Medical Center seeking interested licensed nurses for temporary positions.
Message from April Kapu, DNP, APRN, ACNP-BC
As we prepare for the evolving COVID-19 situation in our community, Vanderbilt University Medical Center has begun to deepen our labor pool at VUMC. Many hospitals and systems may be reaching out to you as we are and we understand the need to provide equal support across the state. We are seeking referral of nurses who would be willing to clinically serve during this time in a temporary position. The range of services we are needing are from non-licensed students to licensed registered nurses. We will align nurses with their level of skill and expertise, and will ensure appropriate orientation before they begin.
Please know that although it is hard to predict what will happen in Middle Tennessee with COVID- 19, we are preparing for worst-case scenarios, and that being the case, individuals can reasonably expect to be supporting the assigned clinical areas for 6-8 weeks. Our goal is to serve our communities in the best possible way. Our relationship with you is one that we value very much, and we are hopeful that an opportunity for individuals to serve will be met with enthusiasm by our nursing community.
If any interested nurses would like to find out further information, please share this link with them and we will be in touch as soon as possible.
