I Am TNA
by Marni Groves, MSN, RN, NP-C
I am a Home Health Administrator, Director of Resident Health Service, and an Adult Nurse Practitioner at a brand new retirement community in Brentwood, Tenn. I enjoy my job and I enjoy spending time with my best friend, Stephen. I have always lived in Tennessee, and I grew up in Giles County. I became a member of TNA as a nursing student in college seven years ago.
Membership in the Tennessee Nurses Association makes me feel like I have an extra insurance in my career. I guess it is hard to explain, but it makes me feel secure in my job and career as a nurse. I don’t worry so much about “goofy” health care laws sliding through the legislature without a good fight from TNA and its lobbyist. I have been a member of both TNA Districts 2 and 3, and I just recently took on the role as the Chair for the Public and Professional Relations Committee.
