TNA Launches Capital Campaign to Purchase a New Home!
The Tennessee Nurses Association (TNA) House of Delegates voted unanimously during the recent TNA Annual Convention to launch a Capital Campaign to purchase a building for its headquarters.
“The building will be a home for Tennessee’s nurses,” said TNA Executive Director Sharon A. Adkins, MSN, RN. “This is a move to build a fiscally stable organization for the future by investing in property and developing equity, rather than spending empty dollars on monthly rental fees. Our association was founded in 1905, and since that time, we have been committed to growth, to visibility, to unity and to the strength of nursing in Tennessee. The reality of owning our own home will only allow us to become a stronger voice for Tennessee’s nurses in the future.”
“Another reason is to build identity and a presence for nursing in Tennessee,” said Adkins. “As a center for nursing excellence, it will be a place for nurses to gather for education and networking, a place to include students and other nursing groups.”
“It is challenging and exciting to embark on this journey and we want you to join us,” Adkins said. “Everyone needs a home of their own…and so do the nurses of Tennessee!”
The Tennessee Nurses Association will not use dues income to fund this project. Contributions to the TNA Building Fund are deductible as a business expense. Join TNA on its journey!
