As a Registered Nurse in Tennessee, the practice of nursing is governed by “The Nurse Practice Act.” This act, as well as proposed legislation and other regulations affecting the deliverance of healthcare, is closely scrutinized by TNA’s Government Affairs and Health Policy Committee. The committee works in conjunction with TNA staff to further the mission of TNA, which is to improved health and healthcare care for all Tennesseans and to promote and protect the registered nurse and advance the practice of nursing.
