Chattanooga Area Nurses in Advanced Practice (CANAP)

CANAP meets the 3rd Tuesday monthly at various restaurants in the Chattanooga to Cleveland areas. During holiday months of November and December, we meet the 2nd Tuesday. Our dinner meeting time is usually at 6:30 p.m. and our guest speaker often begins at 7:00 p.m.
Occasionally we have additional meetings.

Our group is primarily NPs, other APNs (such as: clinical nurse specialist, midwife or nurse anesthetist), NP students or APN retiree. The West Tennessee Nurse Practitoner’s Alliance(WTNPA) is a group of Advance Practice Nurses( or nurse practioners) from West Tennessee (Jackson) and surrounding areas. We are varied in our specialties which include
Family Practice, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, Women’s Health, Mental Health, Nurse Midwives, Dermatology, Education and More. We have regular monthly meetings on the secound Thursday of every month at various locations. We participate in local, state and national seminars and conventions to remain abreast of the latest education, technologies, and issues affecting our practice.
